Walmart Butler Explained: What Each Tool Does for Your Storefront

A plain tour of Walmart Butler and its helpers: Collection Builder, Video and Photo Repost, Walmart Research, Walmart Performance, Walmart deal links, plus where Walmart shows up elsewhere in the app.

Walmart Creator is the second storefront most Amazon Influencers have and few use. The program works a lot like Amazon's: a storefront, collections instead of idea lists, video and photo posts, and commission by category. The problem has never been the program. It is that everything you built on Amazon has to be built again, and nobody has a second afternoon.

Walmart Butler is the group in the Influencer Butler desktop app that does the second build for you. It is one sidebar entry that expands into several tools, each with one job. Here is what each one does, in the order most people end up using them. The Walmart Butler feature page has the overview; the tutorials linked below have the clicks.

Sign in once, in Settings

Everything in Walmart Butler shares a single Walmart Creator sign-in. You do it once, from Walmart Butler > Settings, in a normal browser window the app opens for you. If Walmart shows its robot-or-human check, press and hold until it passes, then close the window. The session is saved and reused by every tool below.

Settings is also where you choose how your Walmart deal links are created, and where the rate card lives: the expected commission rate per Walmart category that the other tools show you. Apparel and beauty pay the most, grocery and household pay nothing, and knowing that before you feature something is most of the game on Walmart.

If a tool ever says you are signed out, use the Walmart sign-in button in that panel, or Reset Walmart sign-in in Settings for a fresh window.

Collection Builder: your Amazon lists, rebuilt as collections

Collection Builder reads a public Amazon idea list, finds a Walmart product for each item (the identical one when it exists, otherwise the closest popular pick), writes a similar name and description, and builds the collection on your Walmart storefront after you review the picks. A Rate column shows what each pick's category is expected to pay, and a stock check right before the build leaves out anything sold out.

It also has a bulk mode. Paste your storefront link, tick the lists you want, and it recreates every one in a single run, with a status per list. Then, from the Your Walmart collections card, you can post any collection to Facebook through Deals Butler or add it to your Deals queue, and clean out-of-stock items from collections that already exist.

If you only try one tool in this group, make it this one. Collections are the shelf space on a Walmart storefront, and this fills the shelves from work you already did.

Video Repost and Photo Repost: your storefront content, copied over

Walmart Repost is two twins. Video Repost republishes your Amazon storefront videos to your Walmart Creator storefront. Photo Repost does the same for your storefront photos. Both follow one rule: a product is only reposted when it is the exact same item on Walmart, matched by barcode (UPC or GTIN). No exact match, no post. You never end up with a video attached to the wrong product.

Each has a Set it up wizard that handles the sign-in, asks whether you want to review matches or post automatically, caps how many go per run, skips out-of-stock items, and optionally schedules runs daily, every 3 days, or weekly. Review mode holds matches for your approval, everything posted is remembered so nothing goes twice, and a Post cleanup panel can clear history for a fresh re-post or delete old or silent posts from your Walmart storefront.

They pull from your Amazon storefront feed, so if that looks empty, harvest it first with Storefront Butler.

Walmart Research: price and rank history before you feature something

Walmart Research is the tool you never have to run. Every Walmart product the app looks up while harvesting deals or reposting gets tracked, and a daily check refreshes each one. You can also paste a Walmart link, item ID or UPC to follow a specific product.

For each product it keeps price history (sale and list price at every check), an approximate popularity rank built from where the product appears in search results, a rank-based estimate of monthly units and revenue shown with a "~", and whether it was in stock at each check. Walmart does not publish a true best-seller rank, so treat the rank and the estimates as directional. The price chart, on the other hand, is exact: it tells you whether today's price is really a low or just a number in red.

Walmart Performance: your numbers, read into the app

Walmart Performance is read-only. It opens the Performance and storefront pages of your Walmart Creator account in the Butler browser and brings the numbers into one place: sales for the month split into storefront and affiliate links, commission earned in the last 30 days, every collection with its item count and out-of-stock flag, the clicks and sales on your video and photo posts, and traffic for the last 7 and 30 days.

Click Read now for a one-off, or turn on Read every day. Every read is kept, so the last good numbers stay on screen even if Walmart changes a page. The three numbers it surfaces, sales, commissionable sales and commission, are different enough that they deserve their own post, which is coming up.

Where else Walmart shows up in the app

Walmart Butler is the group, but Walmart runs through the rest of Influencer Butler too:

  • Deals Butler has a Walmart Deals workspace with its own filters and keywords, a Search Deal Pages tab that checks Walmart's own rollback, clearance and flash pages, and one scheduler that posts Amazon and Walmart deals together to your social destinations. The Deals Butler feature page covers it.
  • Shopping Butler searches Amazon and Walmart for whatever you type and ranks the results by price, quality and the commission you would earn, so you can decide which store to feature a product from.
  • Foyer Butler, your link-in-bio page, can show your Walmart deals next to your Amazon ones, alternate the two stores, and add a Walmart affiliate disclosure with one switch.
  • The Chrome extension shows an "also on Walmart" card on Amazon product pages, matched by barcode, so you can see at a glance whether a product you are about to film exists on the other storefront.

A first week with Walmart Butler

  1. Sign in once from Settings and look at the rate card so you know which categories pay.
  2. Run Collection Builder on your three best Amazon lists, review the picks, and build them.
  3. Run the Video Repost wizard in review mode and approve the first batch of exact matches.
  4. Post one collection to Facebook and queue the others.
  5. Turn on Read every day in Walmart Performance and check back in a week.

That is a Walmart storefront with collections, videos and an audience pointed at it, built from things you already had. The second storefront stops being a chore the moment the first one is doing the work.
