Cookie Policy

Last Updated: May 20, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies the influencerbutler.com website uses, what data they collect, why, and how you can control them. It supplements the Privacy Policy and forms part of our agreement with you.

The Influencer Butler desktop application does not use cookies or analytics scripts. Everything described on this page applies only to the marketing and documentation website.

1) What is a cookie?

A "cookie" is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Cookies let a site remember information about your visit — for example, that you have already dismissed the consent banner — across page loads and return visits. "Similar technologies" include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags (1×1 transparent images used for analytics beacons). Throughout this policy, "cookies" includes those similar technologies.

2) Our consent model — Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent signals defaulted to denied. Before you make a choice on the cookie banner, Google Analytics may send anonymized "consent denied" pings that do not store identifying cookies on your device. After you choose:

  • Accept all — analytics_storage is set to granted; the standard GA4 cookies described below are set; aggregate analytics flow.
  • Reject non-essential — the default-denied state persists; no analytics cookies are written. You can keep using the website with no loss of functionality.

We never set advertising cookies. ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization remain denied at all times, including when you click "Accept all."

3) Cookies we set

3.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the website to function and are set without your consent because they do not track you across sites or build a profile.

NameTypeSet byPurposeRetention
ibConsent localStorage influencerbutler.com Remembers your consent banner choice so we do not ask again on every page. Until you clear it (no automatic expiry).
Cloudflare anti-abuse cookies (e.g. __cf_bm) HTTP cookie cloudflare.com Bot management and transport-layer security at the CDN edge. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. 30 minutes (rolling).
Supabase auth session cookies (only on dashboard / login / signup routes) HTTP cookie supabase.co Stores your signed-in session for the dashboard. Set only when you log in. Session, or until you sign out.

3.2 Analytics (only with your consent)

These cookies are set only after you click "Accept all" on the consent banner. If you choose "Reject non-essential," none of these cookies are written.

NameTypeSet byPurposeRetention
_ga HTTP cookie google-analytics.com (GA4, ID G-S1TC1QLYNN) Distinguishes unique visitors for aggregate traffic analysis. 2 years (browser default; our GA4 retention setting expires user-level identifiers at 14 months).
_ga_<property> HTTP cookie google-analytics.com Persists session state for GA4. 2 years.

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, cross-site tracking, profile-building, or AI-model training. We do not embed third-party social media trackers, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or comparable advertising trackers anywhere on the website.

4) Changing your choice

You can change your cookie choice at any time using either of the following methods:

  1. Clear the saved choice and reopen the banner. Open your browser's developer tools, run localStorage.removeItem('ibConsent'), then reload any page. The consent banner reappears.
  2. Clear cookies for this site. Most browsers let you clear cookies and site data from the address-bar lock icon → "Cookies and site data" / "Site settings." Clearing both influencerbutler.com and google-analytics.com resets everything.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a "Reject non-essential" preference for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we skip the banner entirely and never set analytics cookies for your visit.

5) Third-party privacy practices

The analytics cookies described in §3.2 are set by Google LLC. Google's use of analytics data is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6) Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, change, or remove cookies. We will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be summarized at the top of the page for at least 30 days after they take effect.
