1) What is a cookie?

A "cookie" is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Cookies let a site remember information about your visit - for example, that you have already dismissed the consent banner - across page loads and return visits. "Similar technologies" include localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags (1×1 transparent images used for analytics beacons). Throughout this policy, "cookies" includes those similar technologies.

2) Our consent model: Google Consent Mode v2

We use Google Consent Mode v2 with all consent signals (both analytics and advertising) defaulted to denied. Before you make a choice on the cookie banner, no analytics or advertising cookies are stored and the Meta pixel does not load; Google Analytics may send anonymized "consent denied" pings that do not store identifying cookies on your device. After you choose:

• Accept all: the analytics and advertising signals (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) are set to granted; the GA4 cookies and the Meta Pixel cookies described below are set.
• Reject non-essential: the default-denied state persists; no analytics or advertising cookies are written and the Meta pixel never loads. You can keep using the website with no loss of functionality.

We also honor the browser Global Privacy Control signal as a rejection. Until the Meta Pixel was added, we set no advertising cookies at all; "Accept all" now also enables the Meta Pixel for advertising measurement (see §3.3 and Privacy Policy §2.3).

3) Cookies we set

3.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for the website to function and are set without your consent because they do not track you across sites or build a profile.

3.2 Analytics (only with your consent)

These cookies are set only after you click "Accept all" on the consent banner. If you choose "Reject non-essential," none of these cookies are written.

3.3 Advertising (only with your consent)

These are set only after you click "Accept all". If you choose "Reject non-essential" or send a Global Privacy Control signal, the Meta Pixel does not load and none of these cookies are written.

Aside from the Meta Pixel above (which runs only with your consent), we do not use cookies for retargeting, cross-site tracking, profile-building, or AI-model training, and we embed no other third-party social-media or advertising trackers (for example, no TikTok Pixel).

4) Changing your choice

You can change your cookie choice at any time using either of the following methods:

1. Clear the saved choice and reopen the banner. Open your browser's developer tools, run localStorage.removeItem('ibConsent'), then reload any page. The consent banner reappears.
2. Clear cookies for this site. Most browsers let you clear cookies and site data from the address-bar lock icon → "Cookies and site data" / "Site settings." Clearing both influencerbutler.com and google-analytics.com resets everything.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a "Reject non-essential" preference for California residents under the CCPA/CPRA. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we skip the banner entirely and never set analytics cookies for your visit.

5) Third-party privacy practices

The analytics cookies described in §3.2 are set by Google LLC. Google's use of analytics data is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit by installing the official browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6) Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add, change, or remove cookies. We will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top. Material changes will be summarized at the top of the page for at least 30 days after they take effect.
