The Prime Big Deal Days Deals You Should Skip

The temptation during Prime Big Deal Days is to post everything. There are thousands of deals, the clock is running, and it feels like every one you skip is money left behind. It is the opposite. Posting weak deals costs you the attention you need for the strong ones.

Here is how to decide what to skip.

Skip the shallow discounts dressed up as events

A product marked "Prime Big Deal Days" that is 8% off is not a deal, it is a badge. Your audience can tell. If the saving would not make you personally stop and buy, it will not make them either. Read the price history: if today's price is barely below its normal price, let it go.

Skip what you cannot speak to

A deal you have never used, in a category you never cover, is a hard post to make convincing. You end up describing a spec sheet. Your audience follows you for a point of view, not a price feed. If you cannot say something real about it, someone else is a better person to post it.

Skip the redundant repeat

If you already posted a product this week and nothing changed except the event badge, do not post it again as if it were new. Point back to the original. Reposting the same thing three days apart is how deal accounts feel spammy even when every individual deal is fine.

Keep what clears all three

The deals worth your slot are the ones that pass a simple test: the discount is real and deep, you can say something true about the product, and you have not already worn it out this week. Everything else is noise you are choosing not to add.

Let the ranking do the first cut

You do not have to eyeball thousands of deals. When you rank the event deals by estimated payoff and filter out what you have already covered, the shallow and redundant ones fall to the bottom on their own. Work from the top, stop when the quality drops, and skip the rest without guilt.

A feed of ten deals people trust beats a feed of fifty they scroll past. During the busiest week of the season, restraint is a strategy.
