FAQ: the questions everyone asks
Quick answers on followers, approval times, earnings, international programs, taxes, and the other questions beginners ask most.

๐ Applying and approval
Do I need a lot of followers?
No fixed number. Engagement matters more than count; active accounts in the low thousands get approved routinely, and YouTube/Facebook applications tend to be the most forgiving. See Module 3.
How long does approval take?
Program approval is often instant to a few days. Onsite video review typically takes days to a few weeks. Neither is a judgment of your future earnings.
I was rejected. Is it over?
No. Apply with a different platform account, or build the same account for 30 days and reapply. Both routes work constantly. See Module 3.
Can I apply with a brand-new social account?
Technically yes, practically no. A few weeks of consistent, engaged posting first massively improves your odds.
๐ฅ Videos and content
Do I have to show my face?
No. Hands, product, and voice are enough, and plenty of top earners never appear on camera.
Why was my video rejected for onsite?
Nine times out of ten: price/discount mentions, vertical format, another platform's watermark, poor audio, or not showing the product in use. Fix and resubmit. See Module 4.
Can I reuse my TikToks?
Only if you re-export horizontal and watermark-free. Onsite placement requires landscape video without other platforms' branding.
How many videos until I earn something?
Sales can start with your first few videos, but the honest pattern is: real momentum shows up somewhere between 30 and 100+ videos. Volume plus time is the mechanism. See Module 8.
๐ฐ Money
How much can I actually make?
The range is enormous: many make near zero (usually the ones who upload ten videos and stop), consistent creators commonly report hundreds per month within the first year, and large libraries in good niches do four figures and beyond. Nobody can promise your number.
When do I get paid?
Monthly, roughly 60 days behind. Direct deposit, check, or gift card. There is a minimum payout threshold (lowest for direct deposit).
Do I need to pay taxes on this?
Yes, it is self-employment income and Amazon collects tax information from you (US creators fill in a W-9 and get a 1099 at $600+ per year; other countries vary). Keep simple records from day one; a spreadsheet of monthly payouts is enough at the start. For actual tax advice, ask a professional in your country.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. The program is free. Be suspicious of anyone charging for "access."
โ๏ธ Program mechanics
Amazon changed a screen or a rule since this course was written. Now what?
The strategy layers (honest videos, correct tagging, volume, weekly rhythm) have survived every program iteration for years. When a screen moves, search the program's own help pages for the current path; when a rule changes, the announcement lands in your dashboard.
Can I be in Associates and the Influencer Program at once?
The Influencer Program is built on Associates: you get the storefront and influencer features on top of an Associates-style account and links.
Is there an international version?
Yes, several marketplaces run influencer programs (US, UK, and others), each with its own application. Most creators start with their home marketplace. If you post deals or links internationally later, per-marketplace links matter, but that is a scaling concern, not a starting one.
Where do I ask something this FAQ missed?
The community Q&A on this site's Help section, or the big Amazon Influencer communities on Facebook and Reddit, where today's quirks get discussed in real time.
๐ You made it
That is the whole course. If your checkboxes are mostly ticked, you have an application in, videos live, a storefront breathing, and a weekly rhythm: everything the paid courses promise, done for free.
